We would like to invite you to networking event for researchers from the Republic of Slovenia (hereafter Slovenia) and researchers from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

We are considering a public call for cooperation between Slovenia and the United Kingdom, the purpose of which is to strengthen scientific research cooperation between researchers from both countries. In order to make it easier for the researchers of the mentioned countries to enter into partnerships with each other, the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS), together with the British Embassy in Slovenia, is planning to organize a networking event on October 13th before the announcement of the call for tenders. In order to facilitate the organization of the event itself, we kindly ask you to express your interest in participating in the event in advance by registering via the link no later than September 23rd.

At the event, the ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ljubljana, Her Excellency Tiffany Sadler, and the director of the Public Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, prof. dr. Mitja Lainščak will adress the participants. This will be followed by the presentation of the announced public tender, the presentation of the conditions of cooperation for the United Kingdom and the presentation of good practices of cooperation between the researchers of the two countries. The main purpose of the event is networking between researchers from both countries, which will follow the introductory presentation.

We will be happy to receive your response to present the results, conclusions and challenges of your research work on an ongoing or completed research project where you have collaborated with your Slovene/ English colleagues and which you think could be of interest to your academic colleagues who are or will be considering applying for the call (which is under preparation). The event will be held in English. If researchers from both countries show insufficient interest in participating in the event, we reserve the right to cancel the event.
