The European Commission has published the booklet “Investing
in European success: Innovating Cities in Europe and Worldwide”, showcasing 23
successful EU-funded projects on urban innovation. The featured projects include
two JPI Urban Europe calls,
Sustainable Urbanisation Global
Initiative (SUGI)/Food-Water-Energy (FWE) Nexus and
ERA-NET Cofund Smart
Urban Futures (ENSUF), which have been recognized by the European Commission
as important initiatives for innovating cities in Europe and worldwide. Four
projects funded within these calls are implemented by Slovenian researchers.
Along with the European Commission, national funders assure a significant part
of funding in the SUGI and ENSUF funded projects. Slovenian research teams are
supported by ARRS co-funding.
