The HRZZ and ARIS have signed the Lead Agency Multilateral Scheme (Weave) Agreement, an EU-wide initiative for the (co)funding of fundamental research projects developed by European research funders to support excellent cross-border collaborative research projects (www.weave-research.net ).

Memorandum of Recognition: Memorandum of Understanding between the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS) and the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) (referred to as "Partner Organizations") on a Lead Agency Procedure for the unilateral administration of the evaluation procedure and the mutual recognition of the evaluation results concerning Slovenian-Croatian Joint Bilateral Projects – on hold

Since 2023, ARIS has discontinued public calls for (co)financing the Slovenian part of Weave joint research projects, where ARIS acts as a partner agency. Instead, (co)financing is now provided through direct contracts. Applicants can find further information at the following link: Weave - information for applicants (in preparation). 

  • Opening of the possibility of submitting the Slovenian part of the application for the research project Weave at ARIS: 26th March 2026
  • Deadline for submission of a joint application for a research project to the HRZZ: 27th April 2026
  • Deadline for submission of the Slovenian part of the Weave research project application at ARIS: 4th May 2026 (14:00)
