Access to foreign scientific literature and databases is a prerequisite for
high-quality research, and the educational and other professional activities of
research institutes and universities.
The details, conditions and procedures for selecting tenders to co-finance
the purchase of foreign scientific literature and databases, the supervision of
purchasing, and providing access to co-financed scientific literature are set
out in the Rules on Co-Financing Purchases of Foreign Scientific Literature and
Databases (OGRS, No. 12/2005).
Calls are open to public libraries and their departments that provide
information services to a broad range of target users involved in research,
development and educational activities. These include the National Library and
university libraries, either individually or as a consortium.
