Papers within the top 10% most cited |

This internationally standardized indicator shows the scientific papers that are
among top 10% most cited in the world in a particular field of research. In
2013, Slovenia was ranked 10th among EU Member States by number of such papers
per million inhabitants. Slovenia reached the EU28 average by number of such
papers per million inhabitants in 2004 and continued to grow in relation to the
EU28 average until 2011. Since then, it has maintained its relation to the
average. The graphs show scientific papers that appeared in the journals indexed
in the Scopus bibliographic database by individual year. Since a citation window
covers the year of publication and three subsequent years, the latest available
data relate to the papers published in 2013.
