Targeted research programmes

The ARRS’s mechanism of targeted research programmes provides research support to the relevant ministries and other stakeholders, following the principle of “evidence-based decisions”. It thus helps to formulate the strategic objectives of Slovenia’s development and to decide on the basic development priorities aimed at improving the competitiveness, flexibility and innovation of Slovenia. Project themes are based on the proposals put forward by the ministries and other authorities responsible for specific areas of public interest.
