The scope and structure of funding

Bilateral and multilateral cooperation

Bilateral Cooperation: The ARRS co-finances the international mobility of researchers in cooperation with 12 countries, covering travel expenses of Slovenian researchers abroad and daily costs of foreign researchers in Slovenia. The ARRS also cooperates with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The subject of the call is the co-funding of international scientific research projects in the fields of new energy and nuclear energy technology, climate change adaptation, fundamental research in physics, life science and global security research.

Multilateral Cooperation: The ARRS encourages the participation of Slovenian research organizations in the HORIZON 2020 calls by co-financing the application of any Slovenian research organization that achieves more than 65% of the possible score in the evaluation process. By promoting the Slovenian science abroad and in Slovenia, the Agency ensures the collaboration of Slovenian research organizations and researchers with researchers from the countries with which Slovenia has not yet concluded any relevant international agreement. In addition, the programme provides for collaboration with Slovenian research organizations and researchers in the neighbouring countries and for collaboration with Slovenian researchers working abroad. Finally, the Agency co-finances the membership of Slovenian scientific associations in international scientific associations.
